2022 Asparagus season

The 2022 asparagus season is fast approaching.   You can expect the same high quality harvested daily asparagus.  There will be a few new additions this year.    The first is our pickled asparagus, harvested and canned on the farm *.   This should be available after the second week of May.    We are also going to do a limited amount of U-pick asparagus for the die hard asparagus aficionado.   Sections of our fields will be available on Saturday and Sunday form 9am-4pm from the beginning of May until mid June. * “This product was produced in a home kitchen not subject to public health inspection that may also process common food allergens.”...

Spring 2021 Asparagus Harvest

Spring is here and asparagus have started to sprout. We have just started harvesting our 7 acres of asparagus and it will be a little slow with the cold and freeze in the forecast but we do have asparagus. We will be open weekends through May 9am-4pm at the farm. There is also a self serve fridge available at the farm daily. Asparagus is $4.00 a lb in 1 lb bundles, 11 or 30 lb boxes. 2018 Updates from the Farm

It has been a busy year at the farm   This spring we planted a new field of christmas trees and replaced trees in the existing field that were harvested or were not going to make it.   It was a very tough growing season with record rainfall in the spring contributing to higher than expected transpant mortality.  This was consistent with other local nursery growers. It is discouraging but like they say “there is always next year”.   We planted an acre of asparagus that has done very well and we are anticipating an intial harvest of fresh asparagus starting in May 2019. This year also saw the demolition of the old red shed and replaced with a brand new agricultural pole building.    This building will serve dual functions.  First, it is our machine storage for the farm.   In the spring it will also function as our asparagus processing and sales space as it was built to USDA GAP standards.   In the...
